The seven-point checklist
Use the same standard across rows in one category. The boxes are a reading aid, not an interactive verifier.
Score your row
The score measures how researchable the row is. It is not a quality guarantee and does not replace checking the current external page.
QC photos by category
Useful QC photos answer the questions created by the product type. A large photo count does not help if every angle repeats the same view.
- Shoes and sneakers: both sides, toe shape, heel, outsole, inside label, and size indication.
- Hoodies and shirts: front, back, neckline, cuffs, seams, print or embroidery detail, and flat measurements.
- Jackets: outer shell, lining, zipper, pockets, shoulder construction, measurements, and insulation clues.
- Pants: waistband, rise, inseam, hem, pockets, fabric close-up, and measured width or length.
- Bags: front, back, interior, base, corners, straps, hardware, closure, and dimensions.
- Watches and jewelry: front, side, clasp, finish, dimensions, and material or specification context.
A QC finder or QC photo finder search may surface images, but you still need to establish that they match the row and show the relevant details.
Good row and weak row examples
Good research candidate
A pants row shows waist and inseam measurements, several construction photos, a relevant source page, and enough context to compare price and weight with two nearby rows. You can state why it stayed.
Weak research candidate
The item is vaguely labeled, the image is too cropped to identify the cut, measurements are absent, and the source destination cannot be related back to the row. The save reason is only that it is popular.
The one-sentence save rule
Finish this sentence
“I am saving this row because it shows ______ more clearly than the similar rows, and I still need to check ______ on the external page.”
If the first blank is vague, remove the row. If the second blank is unknown, decide what question the next page must answer before you click.
What to do next
Sort the survivors by category. Review shipping weight for bulky candidates and the safety notes for red flags. Then open only the external pages needed to answer your remaining questions.
